Lenti & Villasco Srl has carried out a due diligence towards its relevant business partners in order to verify any deviation from the OECD guidelines and furthermore no human rights risks have been detected. The transactions considered are low risk and the checks carried out comply with the RJC principles.
RJC COP CORPORATE POLICY
This Code of Ethics is addressed to employees, members, customers and suppliers, external collaborators, any other person who may act in the name and on behalf of Lenti & Villasco Srl the general, to all those with whom they come into contact in the course of their activity.
Business ethics:
- We are committed to carrying out and conducting our activities in full compliance with ethical standards, ensuring integrity, transparency and compliance with current laws.
- We do not practice corruption
- We do not tolerate money laundering and/or financing of terrorist activities
- We undertake to make known in full and in detail the characteristics of the diamonds sold by us.
- We are committed to respecting the principles of confidentiality and protection of confidential data
- We will exercise maximum vigilance on our supply chain, specifically for the supply of diamonds and color stones
- We are committed to ensuring maximum product safety measures within the company and during shipments, to prevent theft, damage or replacement
- We are committed to maintaining the safety and well-being of employees, visitors, customers and suppliers.
Social Ethics:
- We believe and are committed to respecting fundamental human rights and the dignity of the individual, according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights sanctioned by the United Nations
- We do not tolerate child labour
- We undertake not to resort to any form of forced labour and do not restrict the freedom of movement of employees, visitors, suppliers and customers
- We are committed to ensuring and improving health and safety standards at our headquarters and activities
- We do not discriminate by race, ethnicity, country of origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, union membership, pregnancy, political affiliation, marital status, physical appearance, age - so that all persons are granted equal opportunities without discrimination on the basis of factors unrelated to their ability to perform the intended task
- We undertake not to practice corporal punishment under any circumstances and to prohibit the use of degrading treatment, harassment, abuse, coercion or intimidation in any form
- We undertake to define a procedure for dealing with disciplinary disputes with respect to conduct that is not appropriate to what is defined by the RJC COP provisions
- We are committed to complying with current legislation on working time and pay in the absence of such legal requirements to adopt the prevailing rules in the field
- We are committed to supporting the development of the communities in which we operate, contributing to economic and social welfare
Environmental Ethics:
- We are committed to eliminating and/or reducing the use of toxic substances during production. We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact, to dispose responsibly and in accordance with current legislation the waste we produce
- We are committed to efficient use of energy and water
- Any violation of the principles contained may constitute a fulfillment of the contractual obligations assumed, with any consequence of law with regard to the termination of the contract or the assignment conferred.
